out what being a refugee means
The
Fundació
Autònoma Solidària, foundation oriented
to promote integration and active solidarity in the university, is organising
an International War Refugees Conference in the Universitat Autònoma
de Barcelona. This conference will take place from the 9th till the
11th of April 2002. It is co-organised with the Catalan Committee of
UNHCR and the Generalitat de Catalunya (Autonomous Government
of Catalonia).
Conferences, exhibitions, seminars, round tables, workshops an
other activities will arise an academic discussion with the participation
of the main international personalities and agents concerning refugees,
members of the academic community and students. We want to raise discussions,
find possible solutions and future action about the situation of refugees
and displaced people.
Moreover, we are going to promote NGOs and other organisations which work
with refugees through workshops and seminars. The invited organisations
will have tables to display their information and to diffuse their aid
and humanitarian projects.
The
