Admission requirements and administrative procedures
To be admitted, students must have earned a master's degree in a field related to the Doctorate they wish to take (Translation, Intercultural Studies and Modern East Asia), awarded by a university in Europe or elsewhere in the world.
Students may also be admitted to the Doctorate if they have earned at least 60 credits in official postgraduate programmes or hold an official master's degree, provided that they have completed at least 300 credits in their undergraduate and postgraduate studies in fields related to this Doctorate. Students whose previous studies are not related to Translation, Intercultural Studies or Modern East Asia must take between 10 and 30 ECTS credits from the master's degree in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies or Research in Modern East Asia. The students must have defended a research project before a board. This research project must be equivalent to at least 15 ECTS credits. Any students who have not done this must take Module 4 of the master's degree in Translation, Interpreting and Intercultural Studies or Research in Modern East Asia, for which 15 ECTS credits are awarded.
The admission board selects students based purely on scientific and academic criteria (academic record, CV and, if applicable, an interview).
